A Proper Hand Wash That Protects Your Paint

The wrong wash method is how cars pick up scratches in the first place. Automated tunnels use brushes that have already scrubbed hundreds of other cars, and they drag that grit right back across your paint.

We do it by hand. Wheels and wheel wells come first, so we’re not dragging brake dust onto clean paint. A no-contact pre-rinse lifts the heavy dirt, then a foam hand wash with the two-bucket method and microfiber mitts keeps the grit off your clear coat.

What's the difference between an exterior detail and a regular wash?

A wash gets the loose dirt off. Our exterior packages go further: a clay bar lifts the tar, rail dust and fallout that washing leaves behind, and the Wash & Wax adds a machine-applied carnauba wax. We don’t offer a basic wash on its own.

How much does an exterior detail cost?

Paint Decontamination starts at $150 and the Wash & Wax starts at $220. Each takes about 1 to 2 hours. Call (224) 345-9025 if you’d like an exact number first.

Will you leave water spots on my car?

We use a proper drying technique to prevent water spots and streaks, and we rinse with our own deionized water.

Which exterior package should I book?

Book Paint Decontamination if your paint feels rough after a wash: the clay bar lifts what washing can’t. Book the Wash & Wax for the full treatment: an iron decontamination wash, a clay bar, then a machine-applied carnauba wax for a deep gloss.
